Testimonials

I wanted to take the opportunity to let you know that the City of London model that I recently purchased is an absolutely amazing sax. I’m only an intermediate level player but I’m completely blown away by how great it plays and sounds. I also have a Selmer Reference 36 which is a beautiful horn, but City of London just has something special over and beyond that, both in mind blowing sound quality and in the silky smooth feel playing the instrument. I’m delighted I bought it and love playing it. Many Thanks for creating such a beautiful instrument.

Best Regards

Mark

Hi there,

I would just like to tell you how much I’m enjoying and loving my Newcastle model Andy Sheppard autograph tenor sax. As you know I tested my model in Newcastle along side my idol Mr Sheppard. It was such a special experience and one i’ll never forget. I knew I had to own this tenor as its by far the best tenor I’ve ever played and I’ve had a lot of great tenors. It has a huge sound and the build of the horn by Dave Farley is superb. I’ve done a lot of recording on the horn and it sounds sweet. I’ve also had 100% great feedback from all the band members in my current bands after hearing me on my Newcastle model tenor. Thanks to all the team and Andy for finding me my dream tenor saxophone.

Regards

I just wanted to give you a bit of feedback on the “Tokyo” which I am loving.

It’s done a range of gigs including a Jazz duo requiring delicate work with a lot of subtone, sharp section work in Ska and Soul bands and a full-on Rock/Blues band with screaming solos, harmonics, growl, it can do the lot.

I did my first studio session on it last week, the engineer said it was the most consistent sax he’d ever recorded, with the tone and intonation perfect throughout the range. I thanked him for his work on the way out, he looked embarrassed, said he’d only had to press record which is good to hear.

My Series III Selmer was a top-quality horn, but I still find myself ready to compensate for the odd note where the intonation is slightly out, or which needs an extra push and it just doesn’t happen on the Tokyo, the bottom end plays like a dream, almost feels like cheating.

Hope this is helpful, feel free to show it to anyone considering a purchase, I’m very happy to endorse this superb instrument.

Kind regards,

Alison Diamond
